Meet Our Teachers
Cara Webster, director and teacher of Kids Rock Music Class, graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Music. She has been a voice coach, piano teacher, dancer and a performer for over 25 years, performing in choir and drum ensembles throughout high school and college. During college Cara sang the National Anthem for basketball, baseball games and commencement ceremonies. She had a baby in April of 2007 and after trying to find a music program for her son she was inspired to open Kids Rock Music Class. Cara is also a skilled dancer and studied tap, jazz, ballet, and modern dance from the age of seven through post college.
Courtney Barton graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where she studied Art and Music. She has played the piano since she was four years old and continues to today. She performed many recitals and concerts in Columbus, Ohio. She also studied years of ballet and jazz. She was an elementary substitute teacher for Franklin County in Ohio. She moved to Southwest Florida in 2006. She has a seven year old nephew and a two year old niece, whom she sings and dances with while visiting them in Columbus, Ohio. She has a passion for music and children and teaching the music class will allow her to combine her two passions everyday!
